24 weeks

This last weekend we drove to Austin to go to one of Brett's fraternity brothers wedding.  I did a horrible job and didn't take any pictures while we were at the wedding but did have Brett take one of me before we left.  Definitely getting a bigger bump!

It's A Boy!!

We've actually known for a couple weeks but had another ultrasound on Friday to confirm.  We found out early when I did a high risk ultrasound and it was hard to tell.  They confirmed that he's definitely a boy! We've named him Caden Robert Butler.  Caden will be a 5th generation "Robert" as it is Brett's 1st name, his father's name, his grandfather's name, and his great-grandfathers name. We are so excited and can't wait for little Caden to get here.  I finally have a baby bump and started gaining weight in the last couple weeks.  I had lost close to fifteen pounds throughout the rough patch but looking at me now you would have never known.  Hopefully, the weight gain will now slow down a bit!
Here I am at 20 weeks...

Way behind...

Sorry, I'm way behind on the blog.  I've had a few pretty rough weeks with the pregnancy but I'm feeling much better now and hope to be over the hump.  I'm looking forward to 4 months of smooth sailing (fingers crossed :).  So here is a recap of the last few months...

In late September we went to Colorado for a visit.  The weather was gorgeous. We got to reveal the news of the pregnancy, see the Smith's new home, and spend some quality time with family.  We spent most of the time up at the cabin.

We spent a day at Estes Park and visited the Stanley Hotel...

One afternoon all the Butler's went on a hike.  I opted to stay home and get some rest but from the pictures it was obvious that I missed out. Eric and Karla...

We had such a great time.  I wished we could have stayed longer.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone again around New Year's!

My high school 10 year reunion was in early October.  It was great catching up and seeing a lot of people that I hadn't seen in awhile.  I only managed to take one picture with Melissa.  She is due to have her second baby the day before me! I only wished they lived closer.
We went to the Cowboys game.  They were doing terrible but we got to sit in one of the suites.  It was so nice and definitely a treat.
Brett got to go to two of the World Series games.  He and his cousin Matt went to game 3 but they forgot the camera so no pictures.  AC and Brett went to game 5.  Unfortunately, the Rangers weren't able to pull off the win but it was still great for Brett to be a part of it all.

Grandma Turns 90!

On September 4th, my grandmother turned 90.  The whole family meet up in Victoria, KS to help her celebrate the big day! She is such an extroridnary woman.  If I turn out to be half the person she is I will feel blessed. She still knows how to have a great time and always there for her children and grandchildren. I love her so much and so thankful to have her a part of my life.

We're Pregnant!!!

Brett and I are expecting our first child in April! We feel so blessed and excited and can not wait to meet our little one.

The day we found out...
I had come home from work and took a pregnancy test that showed what I couldn't decide was positive or negative.  The line was there but it was faint.  So I had another one and was going to try taking that one.  Brett got home a few minutes later so I didn't say anything but thinking I could sneak the other test and surprise him.  We started talking about our days and the fact that I was late came up, Brett said go take a test! So I eagerly went to bathroom to attempt the second test.  Well, I couldn't pee and barely saturated the stick which caused it to be negative.  At this point, I showed both tests to Brett.  He thought from the first test, we were pregnant, but of course I need confirmation.  So jumped in the car and went to store to buy digital pregnancy tests. Took the first digital test and showed pregnant!! Took the second digital test and it showed pregnant! So 4 tests later, I was finally sold that we were having a baby!

I had a pair of booties that I had bought a while back with a card just to be ready for this day.
We visited the doctor a few days later to confirm the pregnancy and get our expected due date of 4/4/11.  A few weeks later we got to do a sonogram.  I can't figure out how to add the images on here but the baby looked good and it gave us that extra reassurance we were really going to be parents!

Miss J!!

On Septemeber 1st,  Jocelyn Ann England made her debut!  Congrats to Breck and Derek on their bundle of joy!  Brett and I got to make a visit up to the hospital to meet Miss J.

A couple weeks later I got to spend a morning helping the girls out.  I had so much fun! Thanks for letting me play "dress up" to capture that perfect pic for Jocelyn's birth announcement.  Here are a few of the great pictures Breck was able to capture...

Congrats again to Breck and Derek! She is just precious!

Braxton Turns 2!

On August 18th Braxton turned 2! We had a low-key birthday party at my dad's with pizza, cake and ice cream.

A Butler Visit...

First off, so sorry for my lack of blogging.  Brett's parents and brother Eric came in town for a visit in late July.  We had a great time with them and wished they could have stayed longer.  They were able to bring their dog Baylee and we were hoping Allie and her would become instant friends. Unfortunately, our energetic Allie was a little much for Baylee.

Can't you just see the friendship building...
My birthday happened to be here while they were here visiting.  I can't thank them enough for making my birthday so special.  It was so great being able to celebrate with you all!

The pretty flowers and cake...

Opening gifts, I got so many wonderful ones! I have the best family in the world.
Brett got me an iPad.  I was so surprised and love it!
We decided to go grab some pizza downtown in McKinney Square for lunch.
For dinner, we got a little dressed up and went to MiCocina down in Watters Creek.  I love that area and I definitely love me some Mexican food!
Thanks again to Brett's parents and brother for making it such a great visit.  We can't wait to see you all again in less than a week!
