Christmas Continued...

On the Friday before Christmas we headed to Kansas for the holidays.  We celebrated Christmas that evening with Mimi, Papa, Grandma Max and Christie.  Caden checking everything out.
Present time!
By this point he has gotten the hang of opening presents so he jumps right in...
Christmas PJ's, we should have put them on him for pictures instead of the ones he had on :(
Mimi and Papa opening their gifts...
Hanging out with Papa having a bottle before we got in the car to drive to Grandma Billinger's.
The girls after church on Christmas Eve...
Christmas morning...
Aunt Christie and Caden...
Yes, that is all the pictures I have from Christmas Eve/Christmas Day.  I definitely get the awful mom award.  Caden's first Christmas and I didn't even get one of him in his Christmas outfit or one of us as a family.  Horrible :(

We headed back to Mimi & Papa's for one more night and then headed home the next day.  Leaving Monday morning....
Mimi and Papa came down a few days later for the weekend.  Since Braxton was with his dad for Christmas we did another Christmas at our house so he could open his presents from Mimi & Papa.  Caden helping out...
Mom and I were upstairs talking in Caden's room and all the sudden I look over and Caden is diving head first into the basket of stuff animals!
Just acting like he is one of them...
Such a stinker! A cute one though...
Caden loves bath time.  Thought this was such a sweet picture...
In December, Caden turned 9 months.  Every month it is getting harder and harder to get a good picture of him.  He is all over the place and doesn't have time for my picture taking.

Loves his big monkey...

Mimi and Papa babysat for us so we go out for New Year's.  We went to dinner and then headed over to Chaucer's in Allen.  We hung out for a bit but we felt so out of place and so old.  I can totally tell that I am a mother now.  I could not believe some of the outfits girls were wearing or be comfortable with the go-go dancer on the bar! We didn't make it to midnight, actually when we got home Caden was up so I went to rock him and fell asleep.  At least we tried!
That wraps up 2011.  Only 2 1/2 more months to get caught up on!

Caden's First Christmas...Part 1

Christmas was here and over before we knew it.  It was extra special being Caden's first.  We couldn't thank God enough for this special blessing in our lives!

Our Family Christmas Card...(not sure why my hair looks red!)
We ventured over to Bass Pro to see Santa.  Christie, Braxton and Grandpa joined us.  While we waited for our turn we went around the carousel.  Caden was pretty indifferent to it.

Finally his chance to meet Santa...
Could Caden be any less thrilled and Santa be a little extreme?  At least we didn't have tears!

We started the celebrations first with Grandpa, Christie and Braxton.  We had them over for dinner and then opened presents.
Braxton and Caden...
First time opening presents...

Getting the hang of it...

Thanks Grandpa for my gifts...

He is a happy boy!
We were going to Kansas for Christmas so we had our family Christmas on Thursday.  We all got comfy and got around the tree.  Caden checking out the gifts...
We gave Allie her gift first and that was Caden's favorite of all.  It took some convincing to get him to come back over by the tree.
Once he started opening his gifts, he was having a great time!
Got a Dinosaur walker from Nana and Papa.
Some great gifts from Great Aunt Debbie, Uncle Ronnie and Matt.
The Texas Rangers book was hit with Caden and Daddy!
He loved the monkey! He just gave it big open kiss and hug!
A moose pillow from Aunt Sara, Uncle John, Ella & Ryder...
Once he opened all his gifts, he moved on to a favorite activity of re-decorating the tree...
Daddy and Caden...
 Mommy and Caden...
There still more of Christmas to come...stay tuned!
