Grandma Turns 90!

On September 4th, my grandmother turned 90.  The whole family meet up in Victoria, KS to help her celebrate the big day! She is such an extroridnary woman.  If I turn out to be half the person she is I will feel blessed. She still knows how to have a great time and always there for her children and grandchildren. I love her so much and so thankful to have her a part of my life.

Four generations....
 All the grandchildren...
 The six kids and grandma...
 Still swinging for pinatas.

We're Pregnant!!!

Brett and I are expecting our first child in April! We feel so blessed and excited and can not wait to meet our little one.

The day we found out...
I had come home from work and took a pregnancy test that showed what I couldn't decide was positive or negative.  The line was there but it was faint.  So I had another one and was going to try taking that one.  Brett got home a few minutes later so I didn't say anything but thinking I could sneak the other test and surprise him.  We started talking about our days and the fact that I was late came up, Brett said go take a test! So I eagerly went to bathroom to attempt the second test.  Well, I couldn't pee and barely saturated the stick which caused it to be negative.  At this point, I showed both tests to Brett.  He thought from the first test, we were pregnant, but of course I need confirmation.  So jumped in the car and went to store to buy digital pregnancy tests. Took the first digital test and showed pregnant!! Took the second digital test and it showed pregnant! So 4 tests later, I was finally sold that we were having a baby!

I had a pair of booties that I had bought a while back with a card just to be ready for this day.
We visited the doctor a few days later to confirm the pregnancy and get our expected due date of 4/4/11.  A few weeks later we got to do a sonogram.  I can't figure out how to add the images on here but the baby looked good and it gave us that extra reassurance we were really going to be parents!
