7 Months...70lbs...Oh My!!

I took Allie in for a check up on Saturday and she is 70 pounds!!! I think my mouth dropped when I saw the scale.  She was only 55 the last time we took her.  At the rate of 10 lbs a month we could have over a 100lb dog by the time she is 1! Here are a couple recent pics...

4th of July Weekend

The weekend of the Fourth we spent Saturday night with the England's, celebrating Breck's 30th Birthday.  Derek reserved one of the suites at the ballpark so we were all able to mix and mingle and enjoy the ballgame.  We meet up at Fuzzy's in Arlington for a quick bite to eat and then headed over to the ballpark.  Pictures are from my cellphone again so excuse the blurriness...
Happy Birthday to Breck...

Breck and I...
On Sunday we kept pretty low key and watched the fireworks put on by the City of McKinney from our front yard.  They turned out to be great seats, we need to keep this in mind for next year!

Hope everyone and their families had a Happy 4th!

Baby Shower for Breck & Baby Jocelyn

At the end of June, I helped co-host a baby shower for Breck and Baby Jocelyn.  The shower turned out beautifully and the guests of honor went home hands full of some great gifts.  This adorable stork and baby was made by Kim's dad.  It was perfectly hung right above the guest sign in...
The main food table...
I don't like to brag but I was very impressed with myself pulling off this cute watermelon baby carriage!
Kim arranged all the beautiful flowers...
Breck opening some of her gifts.  Below, a customized hair bow holder that will match Jocelyn's room.  We tried to match the theme of the baby shower with the colors of the nursery.
A perfect outfit to go see Daddy at work...
The hostesses with the mom to be...(doesn't Breck look great!)
So excited for Breck and Derek!  We can't wait for Miss Jocelyn to get here!

Father's Day

Father's day weekend Dad & Maggie came over to the house so that we could introduce Maggie & Allie.  The dogs loved playing together and gave us some time to catch up.  Pictures are a little blurry, they were taken from my cellphone since our camera was broken.
At one point...Allie tried to go inside for a quick cool down but Maggie was quick to catch her in the act...
Dad and I were able to leave the dogs playing and run up the street for a quick bite to eat.
After a long afternoon of playing, I think we were successful in finally wearing them both out...
It turned out to be a great afternoon, Happy Father's Day!
